DEFENSIVE PISTOL LEVEL I

This pistol course will be conducted over a period of two days, featuring a mix of instruction and practical application, including dry fire and live fire exercises in a range setting. This course will equip you with knowledge about the physiological effects of high-stress situations on your body and how to effectively manage those effects. You will learn proper grip and stance for one-handed and two-handed shooting, the differences between cover and concealment, and how to utilize both effectively. Additionally, you'll cover emergency and tactical reload procedures, identify and clear malfunctions, and transition between threats or targets. By the end of this course, you will have the confidence in your gear, abilities, and skillset to defend and protect yourself and your loved ones in a defensive situation.

Pistol familiarity and basic shooting skills are required for this course, making it an excellent precursor to advanced training like the AR-15 course or carbine course.
