No experience needed. Our beginner firearms training classes in Helena are built from the ground up for first-time shooters and new gun owners. Whether you've never held a pistol or just picked up your first AR-15, Kronos Defense Group's foundational gun safety

courses walk you through proper grip, stance, safe handling, and range etiquette before you fire a single round. Experienced shooters can move into our advanced shooting courses to sharpen defensive skills.

We offer the following gun training courses: Foundational Pistol Training, AR-15 Rifle Classes, NRA Certified Safety Courses, Church Security Training, and the Montana Armed Security Guard Card Endorsement. From first-time shooter classes to defensive pistol training and rifle instruction in Montana — there's a course for every skill level.

For most shooting classes, you'll need: your pistol or rifle (loaners may be available — contact us to confirm), adequate ammunition per course requirements, eye and ear protection, weather-appropriate clothing, and a valid photo ID. After you register for any of our firearms training courses, we'll email you a complete gear checklist, so you show up fully prepared.

Yes. Kronos Defense Group is led by an NRA certified firearms instructor, with real-world operational experience — not just a classroom background. Our NRA gun safety courses and defensive shooting programs are built around practical, scenario-based drills. When you train with us, you learn from a certified shooting instructor who has applied these skills in real environments — not just on paper.

Firearm safety is the foundation of every class we teach. At Kronos Defense Group, the four fundamental rules of gun safety are enforced at all times across all our pistol, rifle, and AR-15 training courses. Our certified range safety instructors correct unsafe handling immediately. Students who repeatedly violate safety protocols will be removed from the course — we maintain a safe shooting environment for every participant, every time.

We know life gets in the way. If you need to cancel or reschedule your firearms training class, please contact us as early as possible. Cancellations with sufficient notice are typically transferable to a future pistol, rifle, or NRA safety course date at no extra charge. Specific refund windows are detailed at registration. Always reach out directly —don't just no-show.
